Haha, I’ve considered it, I’m also wondering if I can get a res pray, cause I’m still under my extended warranty, I’m just not sure if it’s covered...probably isn’t.

Is it only on the scoop insert? You could just remove that piece and ask a shop to respray the clear, or try it yourself.
You could probably get a shine back on it with a good multistep detail, bummer about that chip, though.

Is there a pain clause in the warranty? How old is it? My guess would be that they say some BS regular wear and tear nonsense. But doesn't hurt to ask. Though some wet sanding and polishing may be due.

Yeah insert only, which is super weird.
No chip in it, I think you’re seeing a large water droplet.

Ah, I see now. I’d give it a shot at a detail. Clay, compound (Meguiars Ultimate Compound is one I like to use), glaze, wax. The Civic I sold a couple of years ago had some light oxidation on the hood, and a detail brought it back to life.
Worst case you’re out a little bit of time and you’ll have some products for future detailing, if you don’t already have them.

Give it a good polish with a proper polish, not a filler polish, or filler glaze, etc... but a light abrasive polish.
Look for an honest car polish that contains no fillers, polymers
, gloss enhancers, etc...
Use straight lines back and forward then left and right then back and forward and repeat.

Any product recommendations?

use 3M perfect it synthetic compound, followed by polish and wax. The paint is starting to give up though so that will eventually require some new paint.

I don’t really know what products you guys have over there. I use Gtechniq P1 Nanocomposite water based non diminishing pad dependant polish (try saying that when you’ve had a few drinks), which is a fantastic product.
You could try Adam’s Paint Correcting Polish.
